The American Revolution was the first conflict in history fought in the name of universal philosophy of law, constitutional rights, and self-government. Ketchum states, â€Å"It was the event that gave birth to our nation, bequeathed a common purpose to the most varied of peoples, and ignited a beacon of hope that inspires the oppressed to this day.† I believe the Revolutionary war was the most significant event in our nation’s history, stabilizing the United States for democracy. The outcome was the development of the Article of Confederation, The Constitution and recognition from Great Britain of the United States as an independent nation under the treaty of Paris. As a result, colonists were ad ept at controlling their own local government and grew more independent. The Revolutionary war was a direct result of decades of abuse and taxation tyranny over the colonist. The British parliament wanted to exert control over the colonist and felt that the colonist should pay for the British empires expenses through the Declaratory Act. Williams note, â€Å"The Sugar, Stamp, Townshend, and Quartering act, posed an immediate threat to the establish traditions of the colonial sovereignty†. The colonist resisted with physical violence and acts of hostility toward the British. Colonists were denied a place in the parliament therefore many colonists resented the British and wanted to become an independent state. Taxation without representation through the various acts imposed by Great Britain fueled the resentment of colonist, contributing to the Revolutionary war. The Klingon fleets are called the Gallron and the Alpha Flight,and the two Federation fleets are called the Democracy and the Evolution. Ifall goes well all we need to do is box the Romulans in. We launched what I callthe Picard Jack-In-Box Strategy in less then 23 hours. Star date 32937.1: All is not well we hit a snag with my Strategy. TheCardasens made a surprise attack on the Gallron fleet and destroyed all 13 ships,including Gallrons ship. With the death of Gallron the Klingon leader, itwill be near impossible to control the last remaining Kilngon battle fleet,Alpha Flight. I now have even a bigger problem than the loss of the fleet. Thebox had collapsed, and when there was an opening, the Romulans and theCardasens escaped through it and now they are headed for earth ( the heart ofthe Federation ) with the Metagenic Device. I cant help but be afraid for allthose life forms, over 20 trillion life forms that live in the Earths SolarSystem. There are 9 trillion life forms on Earth alone. Star date 33045:8 Its 12 months later, and the 1st anniversary sincethe end of the Federation and Romulan war, and its getting harder to get use tothe quadrant. Two months ago the Federation released a statement saying about 4trillion life forms died on Jupiter and Saturn, and the Federation would startto recognize the planets and their moons. It became official two days ago the Klingons closed their neutral zoneto all Federation ships and Federation people. Due to the death of Gallron theKlingon leader, Klingons have developed hostile attitude. Soon after the war,we honored our deal by turning over the Cardasens, and the Cardasen space overto the Klingons. We know that they will not honor the deal, and they will killlots of Cardasen people. The Federation will not enforce any of the terms ofthe deal. I cant help but feel that I have doomed a race of people to theliving hell of enslavement. I keep telling myself that at the time ofnegotiating the deal I had no choice. The Federation needed the help of theKlingons. But they helped us win the war, and without them we would not havewon. I guess we will have no choice but to live the deal. And I guess theCardasens will have to live with the deal for the rest of their life. As for the Romulans we ceased all of their military and have control of65% of their land. The Federation worked out a deal with them saying that wewill keep them safe from any race that may try to get a foothold on their landand that they can have free use of our Romulan land. That part of the deal letsus keep a eye on them. Now that the Federation has most of the Romulan land,and the Klingons have most of the Cardasen land, that makes us the Federationand the Klingons the only two Super Powers left in the quadrant. But for now atlast all is well, and I can only pray that it stays that way.
